51 Afro Duck Stare Down - Wednesday, February 20th, 2008

I’ve seen this guy several times while strolling the canal path and it’s always the same deal. I took this shot at my own peril.
“You lookin’ at me?” Swimming closer to the shore, he says, flicking his beek up and down.
“No, I’m just walking on the canal, pal. Take it easy.” I reply, hesitating a bit.
“No… I SAID - are you lookin’ at ME!?” He says with those beady, squinted duck eyes.
“No,” I say, backing up. “Uh… I’m … just walking on the canal buddy… Minding my own business.”
Then there’s usually this uncomfortable silent stare down thing before I have to yield the path or just keep walking.
A little touchy about the bad hair day thing, perhaps?
