In all a total of six variances would have had to have been approved to allow the two Doylestown native Caine brothers to open their Brew House on Delaware Avenue in Yardley. In the end, detractors of the proposed establishment won in a 3 to 2 verdict handed down by the zoning board to deny the variance request.
